  • Did the wrestler place the correct hand on top?
  • Did the wrestler first turn down the wrist, and then step forward with his back leg?
  • Did the wrestler finish with a Russian tie-up? with his opponent having head position, and his own shoulder pressuring over his opponents shoulder?
  • 3. Clearing wrists to Russian Tie-up (3 ways)

  • Did the opponent collar on the wrestler's lead-leg side?
  • Did the wrestler grab the opponent's wrist without using his thumbs?
  • Did the wrestler get to a strong Russian tie-up?
  • 5. Single leg
  • Did the wrestler get the Russian on his lead-leg side?
  • Did the wrestler use a shoulder-dip as a setup?
  • Did the wrestler get to head position while grabbing the opponent's single leg (with his lead-leg-hand frist)?
  • Did the wrestler drive the leg into the air, and pinch it between his knees?
  • 6. Knee Pick
  • Did the wrestler get the Russian on his lead-leg side?
  • Did the wrestler grab the opponent's far knee with his back-leg-hand?
  • Did the wrestler keep his elbow up, so that he could properly push the opponent (dropping the elbow is a common mistake)
  • Ask the wrestler to demonstrate it after circling and making his opponent step (as a setup)
  • 7. Heel Pick
  • Did the wrestler get the Russian on his lead-leg side?
  • Did the wrestler first fake for the single?
  • Did the wrestler land on his forearm, grabbing the opponent's heel?
  • 8. Defensive ideas
  • Have the wrestler demonstrate the following ways to defend the Russian tie-up: grabbing the insdie wrist/fingers, clamping down their elbow and handcuffing the opponent's wrist, posting on the opponent's head to clear
  • 9. 3 different answers for when he posts on your head
  • Did the wrestler get the Russian on his lead-leg side? Have them demonstrate all 3 movements:
  • Level change, post his arm, double leg
  • Did the wrestler drop to his back-leg knee, while lifting the opponent's arm into his other arm (above his elbow)?
  • Did the wrestler shoot a double, while keep his body/posture upright?

  • Reach over the arm fancy nonsense...
  • This one doesn't matter, they won't be penalized if they can't do it.

  • High level knee-snatch high crotch
  • Did the wrestler post above his opponent's elbow?
  • Did the wrestler spring off his back leg foot?
  • Does it look realistic?
  • 10. Climb behind
  • Did the wrestler get the Russian on his lead-leg side?
  • Did the wrestler tuck his elbow into his stomach, making his opponent's arm longer, so that he could grab it with his bicep (elbow-pit)?
  • Did the wrestler then grab it with his other bicep (elbow-pit), and were both grabs above the opponent's elbow? If not, the opponent's arm will slide out.
  • Did the wrestler use gravity to make the opponent fall forward, so that he could take his back? The wrestler shoudl fall 1 inch in order to do this.
  • Did the wrestler finish with a mat return, such as a rear standing crab-ride?
  • 11. Fireman’s Carry
  • Did the wrestler get the Russian on his lead-leg side?
  • Did the wrestler step and level change, putting their back-leg in front?
  • Did the wrestler penetrate deep enough to lift their opponent easily, by finding their center of gravity?
  • 12. Inside trip to knee-pick
  • Did the wrestler get the Russian on his lead-leg side?
  • Did the wrestler hop forward before kicking the opponent's leg?
  • Did the wrestler his the opponent's thigh with the back of his own thigh?
  • Did the wrestler try to bring his foot down in a foot-sweept position while catching the knee-pick?
  • 13. inside trip to knee-pick to fireman’s
  • Did the wrestler get the Russian on his lead-leg side?
  • Was the wrestler able to break this up into each movement? It should look mechanical, with 1 movement happening after the other
  • Did the wrestler take the step before the fireman's? (putting their back-leg in front)
  • 14. Snap down and pull past
  • Did the wrestler get the Russian on his lead-leg side?
  • Did the wrestler push in, to get his opponent leaning on him?
  • Did the wrestler drop down to his back-leg knee, and THEN pull his opponent forward? If he pulls his opponent diagonally downward, it is wrong
  • Did the wrestler finish with a seatbelt?
  • 15. Hop on 1 leg and seatbelt
  • Did the wrestler get the Russian on his lead-leg side?
  • Did the wrestler do all 3 of these things at the same time: 1) hop in and hook his opponent's leg 2) grab a seatbelt 3) wrap his oppoent's arm around his knee
  • Was the wrestler able to lean his weight onto his opponent's knee, making it awkward to balance?
  • 16. Stepping on his feet
  • Did the wrestler get the Russian on his lead-leg side?
  • Did the wrestler step on his opponent's far foot, with his own lead-leg?
  • Did the wrestler push his opponent over by giving a shove with his forearm?
  • 17. Sag headlock when he collar ties
  • Did the wrestler get the Russian on his lead-leg side?
  • Did the wrestler circle his opponent behind him as a setup?
  • Did the wrestler use russian-style grip, with no thumbs?
  • Did the wrestler sag down, by straightening his leg and going down to his buttcheek.
  • Did the wrestler keep his headlock arm straight (not wrapping around the head), to avoid potential rolls when the land?
  • Did the wrestler finish in a strong pinning position?
